Introduction
I am Azam Hafiz Muhammad Hamza, a Mechanical and Control Engineer deeply passionate about AI/ML engineering applications. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, with distinction in final year project and major courses. My MS degree in Control Science & Engineering from the University of Electronic Science & Technology China specialized in Magnetic Barkhausen Noise and Signal Processing. Currently, I am keen to join Zhejiang University to continue the learning process as a Doctoral student.
My interest in technology traces back to my childhood, and during my undergraduate years, I developed a fascination for integrating AI into mechanical systems, particularly robotics and automation, foreseeing its potential to revolutionize design, analysis, and optimization processes. I am driven by the ambition to continually enhance my skills and expertise to innovate creative solutions.
Professional Career
As an undergraduate, I interned as a Design Engineer at IkAN Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd., Lahore, and later served as a Mechanical Fabrication Engineer at Aqib Hafeez Khan Engineering Services, where I led initiatives resulting in a 3% productivity increase. Additionally, I undertook paid projects involving processing rotating machinery signals, predictive modeling, and their industrial application using Kubeflow.
Research Interests
Drawing from my experiences and aspirations, my research interests lie in Design Methodology and Optimization to address engineering challenges and meet evolving technological and sustainability demands for exoskeletons. The pivotal role of Artificial Intelligence in this regard is undeniable via driving efficiency, accuracy, and innovation across design processes, predictive modeling, and product development. Moreover, I am keen on exploring, Prognostics and Condition Monitoring for predicting equipment lifespan and ensuring reliability. Finally, I'm intrigued by Additive Manufacturing transformative potential in sectors like healthcare, offering benefits in customization, waste reduction, and on-demand part production.
