The Korean Society for Anesthetic Pharmacology symposium for medical physics and mathematics was held at Jeju National University Hospital. Prof. Kim presented a talk with a title of " Diffusion approximation of photon transport in biological tissue and its medical applications". ...

Our lab displayed two systems, Laser speckle imaging system and multi-channel NIRS system during 2013 International photonics exhibition  held at Kim Dae Joong convention center at Gwangju. Gwangju city mayor, Mr. Kang, tried to put our multi-channel NIRS onto his forehead. ^^

GIST-CNUH symposium was held at CNUH.

The Biophotonics Lab had one booth to present the NIRS Multichannel System and Laser Speckle Imaging System at the 3 day International Photonics Exhibit. It was the birthday of our tallest member at BPL. We celebrated it at Gio restaurant and two ladies in BPL made a B-day cake for Evgenii. Happy Birthday Evgenii ^^

We had a welcoming party for Zeph and Thien who just joined our lab. Grilled Korean beef was the dinner, and we enjoyed playing Bowling game as two teams that were led by Zeph and Evgenii.

Songhyun received a "Best Research Award" from OSK summer meeting. Congratulations~

We attended OSK summer meeting at "The Ocean Resort" at Yeosu. We had so much fun during the meeting. ^^

Our lab story was on the GIST magazine.

GIST hold a GIST name day at Gwangju Mudeung baseball stadium. KIA-LG baseball game was held on that day and our professor sang Korean national anthem before the game started. What an honor it is. ^^  To watch the video, click this.

The Biophotonics Center at GIST (BCG: tentative name) had a workshop at Hwasoon Kumho resort to share individual research area and to visualize collaborations.

BPL members took a break from experiments to enjoy the snowy day at GIST by building a few snowmen! Thanks everyone for your teamwork, they turned out wonderful.

Myeongsu finally arrives for a group

The Biophotonics Lab had a workshop at Konjiam Resort to summarize 2012 studies and to plan for 2013.

We had a farewell party for Phuong and also 2012 Year-end Party at Won Halmuhnee Bossam. Phuong goes back to Vietnam in Dec 24th. We hope to see him again.
