研究工作围绕机器学习基础理论、算法和应用展开，注重理论与实际问题结合。针对复杂数据隐含结构的学习与利用中的共性问题，研究了结构学习及基于结构的统计学习中若干关键问题，提出：（1）最大熵判别式学习的PAC-Bayes理论与方法；（2）正则化贝叶斯推理及正则化非参数贝叶斯推理理论；（3）非参数化贝叶斯模型的最大间隔学习理论与高效算法等。针对互联网数据挖掘、社交网络分析、多模态数据融合、网络推荐等多个典型应用场景，将基础理论与实际问题结合，提出有效的计算模型和算法，包括：（1）将正则化贝叶斯推理用于解决大规模文本分类、社交网络分析、矩阵低秩分解、多模态数据融合等问题，提出高效推理算法；（2）将结构化最大熵判别式学习用于解决网络环境下信息抽取、实体关系抽取、多模态数据融合与检索等问题，建立了基于结构的网络数据抽取框架及包括StatSnowball在内的若干统计模型，获3项美国专利，研究成果已应用到微软的多个搜索引擎，包括人立方关系搜索引擎和学术搜索引擎等。上述成果已连续多年在机器学习顶级国际会议和杂志ICML、NIPS、UAI、IJCAI、AAAI、 JMLR、PAMI等发表论文50余篇。受邀担任人工智能与模式识别顶级期刊PAMI的编委，担任机器学习顶级会议ICML 2014、ICML 2015、IJCAI 2015、UAI 2014、NIPS 2013等的领域主席，担任ICML 2014的地区联合主席。研究工作得到国家973计划（课题负责人）、自然科学基金优青基金和重点基金等项目的支持，入选“清华大学221基础研究人才支持计划”。

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University, China. I am now working with Prof. Bo Zhang and Prof. Jun Zhu in the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Technology and Systems. I received my B.S., M.S. and Ph. D. degree in Electronic Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2007, 2009 and 2014, respectively. From September 2011 to Aug. 2014, I worked as a visiting scholar under the supervision of Professor Takeo Kanade in the Robotic Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, USA. My research interests include computer vision, pattern recognition and machine learning, with a recent focus on large-scale crowd behavior analysis and semi-supervised learning. Based on my work, I have published more than 30 papers in CVPR, MIA, TIFS, ICME, ACCV, etc. I have also served as a PC member of IJCAI2015, UAI2015, AAAI2015, and the reviewer of TPAMI, CyberC, MICCAI, Nurocomputing and ICML2015, NIPS2015, and BMVC2015, KDD2015. I am a recipient of the honor of Excellent Graduate of Shanghai (Only awarded to 1 Ph. D student in the Department of Electronic Engineering, 2014), and the Outstanding Student Models of Shanghai Jiaotong University (the students’ highest honor in SJTU, award only ten students per year in Shanghai Jiaotong University). I am a member of IEEE, I received a Young Investigator Award for my work on cell tracking at MICCAI'12, Nice, France, in 2012, and the Best Paper Award for my work on large-scale crowd event recognition at IEEE AVSS'12, Beijing, China, in 2012.

I am a PostDoc in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University, under the supervision of Prof. Jun Zhu. Prior to this, I worked in Ant Financial, as a senior algorithm engineer. In July 2015, I obtained my PhD degree in School of Computer Science and Technology at Tianjin University, advised by Professor Xiaochun Cao. In July 2010, I received my bachelor degree in School of Automation and Electrical Engineering at Beihang University. From 2012 to 2015, I spent three happy years at Institute of Information Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as a visiting student. My research interests include: deep learning, structured learning and prediction, etc.

I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student of TSAIL Group in Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. I am co-supervised by Prof. Bo Zhang and Prof. Jun Zhu. Before that, I received the B.E. degree from Institute for Interdiscriplinary Information Sciences (Yao Class) of Tsinghua University in 2014. My research interests are primarily on statistical machine learning, especially deep generative models for various learning tasks, including unsupervised, (semi-)supervised and reinforcement learning.

I am a first-year Ph.D. student of TSAIL Group in the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, advised by Prof. Jun Zhu. I also collaborate with Dr. Hang Su closely. I was a visiting student from June, 2016 to September, 2016 in the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Prof. Fernando De la Torre. I was a research intern in 2017 at Intel Lab China, collaborating with Dr. Jianguo Li. I am now an intern under the NVAIL program of NVIDIA. My research interest includes machine learning, deep learning and their applications in computer vision. Recently, I am interested in interpretability and robustness of deep learning.

I am a fourth-year PhD student in the Machine Learning Department at Carnegie Mellon University. My advisor is Aarti Singh. Before coming to CMU, I was an undergraduate student at the Yao Class in Tsinghua University. I am generally interested in statistical machine learning. Many main research focus is to design and understand interactive methods that improve data efficiency for noisy estimation and/or optimization problems. Most problems I work on can be classified as experimental design, missing data, online learning, active learning and/or Bayesian optimization (also known as "zeroth-order/black-box optimization"). I am also interested in statistics and operations research questions connected to machine learning, such as nonparametric and admixture models in statistics and dynamic assortment selection models in operations research and revenue management.

Before that, I received the B.E. degree from Department of Computer Science and Technology of Harbin Institute of Technology in 2012. My research interests are primarily on machine learning, especially latent feature models, probabilistic graphical models and Bayesian nonparametrics with applications on data mining, such as social networks and discourse analysis.
