Haiyang Wang is an Associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Minnesota Duluth, MN, USA. He received his Master's degree from THUxukeGroup and Tongji University in 2007, and PhD from Simon Fraser University, Canada, in 2013 (PhD Advisor: Dr. Jiangchuan Liu). He was in the development team of China's first IPv6/IPv4 dual-stack core router (BitEngine 12000 Series) and RFC 5747: 4over6 Transit Solution Using IP Encapsulation and MP-BGP Extensions. He is a recipient of the Chinese Government Scholarship for Outstanding Self-financed Students Studying Aboard (2012).
His research interests are in networking, in particular, cloud computing, big data, socialized content sharing, multimedia communications, peer-to-peer networks, and distributed computing.

He received his B.S. degree from the School of Computer Science of Wuhan University (Advisor: Dr. Jing Chen), Hubei, China in 2012 and his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Tsinghua University (Advisor: Dr. Ke Xu), Beijing, China in 2017. He held a visiting researcher position with the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering of University of Essex (Advisor: Dr. Kun Yang), Colchester, UK. He is now working as a senior researcher in 2012 Labs of Huawei. His research interests include network protocols, cloud/edge computing, network virtualization and resource management, network science, and P2P system.

I received my B.S. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Jilin University, Changchun, China in 2012, and received my Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Tsinghua University (Advisor: Dr.Ke Xu) in 2017. Now I'm a post-doc researcher in HKUST. My research interests include data-driven network, serverless computing, large scale datacenter network, and high-speed networking. I am a member of IEEE, ACM and CCF.
