Welcome to our lab！
The Computational Data Lab at SJTU develops analytical methods in information and decision systems, statistics and data science, and applies these methods to address complex challenges in finance, energy systems, urbanization and social networks. Our research is interdisciplinary with three core disciplines: statistics and data science, information and decision theory, and human and institutional behavior. Our group consists of members with highly diversified training background, ranging from economics, molecular biology, biophysics, physics, ocean engineering to computer science, statistics and mathematics. Our common interests are in development of computational tools for solving complex economic system.

How can big data help us map the financial industry so we can better understand and forecast changing dynamics?
How do we develop robust models to better manage uncertainty and predict failures in the finance sector?
How can we develop behavioral science and decision-making tools to better understand consumer and investor behavior?
